FEES & SERVICES | COUNSELLING & HYPNOTHERAPY IN CAMBRIDGE

I believe therapy should be accessible to everyone without compromising the quality of care I provide. I aim to keep my fee at a level that feels manageable for everyday life. I offer a flat rate of £45 per 50 minutes for counselling and £60 per 60 minutes for hypnotherapy

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELLING
IN PERSON OR ONLINE
£45 per 50 minutes

WALK AND TALK THERAPY
£45 per 50 minute

Pluralistic counselling is a flexible and collaborative approach that recognises there’s no single way to support everyone. It draws on a range of therapeutic methods and ideas, based on the understanding that different people find different things helpful at different times. Together, we explore what’s most meaningful and effective for you, tailoring the work to suit your individual needs, preferences, and goals.

I also draw on Judith Herman’s trauma approach, which emphasises the importance of safety, trust, and empowerment in healing. Her model recognises that recovery happens in stages, from establishing safety, to processing traumatic memories, and finally rebuilding a sense of connection and meaning. This approach guides my work with clients who have experienced trauma, helping to create a supportive and paced environment for healing.

HYPNOTHERAPY
£60 per 60 minutes

Hypnotherapy is a focused, evidence-informed therapeutic approach that helps you enter a deeply relaxed state where your body is at ease and your attention becomes more receptive.

This natural state, similar to daydreaming or guided meditation, is something we all experience, such as when drifting off to sleep or becoming absorbed in a film.

In this state, conscious awareness softens, allowing for therapeutic work with underlying patterns and processes. This can support meaningful change over time.

Hypnotherapy can be helpful for anxiety and stress, sleep difficulties, confidence, anger management, public speaking, weight management, fears and phobias, and unwanted habits such as smoking or vaping, and nail or lip biting.

You remain aware and in control throughout. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process, guided by your goals and delivered in a safe, ethical, and structured way.

Walk and talk therapy offers the opportunity to explore thoughts and feelings while walking side by side in a natural outdoor setting.

Walking has documented benefits for mental and physical health. It can help improve mood, reduce stress hormones, and support the release of endorphins. Regular walking also supports better sleep, improves circulation, and can enhance cognitive function through increased blood flow to the brain. Research suggests it may be helpful in managing symptoms of anxiety and mild to moderate depression.

Being in nature can further support relaxation by calming the nervous system and reducing feelings of anxiety. Many people also find it easier to talk while moving, with the rhythm of walking supporting openness and reflection.

For some clients, working in a traditional therapy room can feel too claustrophobic or intense. Walk and talk therapy can offer a helpful alternative, providing more space and a less pressurised environment.

This approach can be a helpful alternative to traditional face-to-face sessions and is adapted to your pace, comfort, and any health considerations.

Sessions are weather dependent, with the option to move online or indoors if needed.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Reaching out for therapy can feel like an important and sometimes vulnerable step. It can be helpful to know what working together will actually look like before you begin.

I offer a free 15 minute introductory call. This is a relaxed conversation where you can briefly talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, ask any questions, and get a sense of whether you feel comfortable working with me. It also gives you a chance to decide whether you would like to go ahead with sessions.

If you choose to continue, we will arrange regular sessions at a pace that works for you. This may be short-term support focused on a specific issue, or longer-term therapy where we take more time to understand what is going on for you and how it is affecting your life.

In the first session, we will talk through what has been difficult, what you would like help with, and what you would like to change. We will also go through confidentiality, the client agreement, and the practical arrangements so everything is clear before we begin.

My aim is to offer a steady, supportive space where you feel listened to, taken seriously, and able to speak openly at your own pace.
